November 3, 2023, Ombra had the honor of successfully completing our first “huddle” as the host company for the Hire Our Heroes (HOH) Corporate Fellowship, an innovative DoD-SkillBridge program which provides transitioning service members with professional training and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce.
Our fellowship candidates were meticulously matched with Ombra based on their unique skills and preferences. They have now embarked on an exclusive on-the-job training journey with us, gaining invaluable real-world experience in the private sector.
The fellowship program follows a 12-week syllabus and is conducted three times a year, at select military installations and host cities across the nation. Fellows dedicate four days a week to hands-on experience with Ombra and one day to professional development ‘huddles’.
Friday’s huddle was an incredible success, and we are honored to have played a pivotal role in empowering our transitioning service members with the skills and knowledge they need for a successful civilian career. We are committed to providing a supportive and enriching environment for our fellows and can’t wait to see their professional growth during this program.
