Ombra to Develop Cutting-Edge Software Solution for Onboard Biometric Processing
TAMPA, FL – Ombra LLC is proud to announce its selection by the U.S. Army for a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract valued at $250,000. This contract focuses on the development of the Touchless Biometrics – Capture and Matching (TB-CAM) system, a groundbreaking software solution designed to enhance biometric data collection, processing, and matching capabilities using onboard cameras.
The SBIR contract represents a significant step forward in addressing the most pressing challenges within the Department of the Army by leveraging advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. Ombra’s TB-CAM system integrates state-of-the-art convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to deliver a high-performance biometric solution for Android devices. This innovative system will streamline the collection and processing of fingerprints and other biometrics, providing real-time matching and sharing capabilities.
